The enrollment of Marshall University is approximately 14,000 students including 4,000 graduate and medical students

The University offers 23 associate programs, 44 baccalaureate programs and 46 graduate programs.

The University operates on a semester system which includes the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. The Fall semester begins in late August and ends in mid-December. The Spring semester begins in mid-January and ends in early May. 4 summer sessions are offered from mid-May through mid-August.
